Sand Tart Cookies



Classic Holiday Cookies!




 

Ingredients

Instructions

  • 1.25 cups granulated sugar

Step 1 Cream together butter and sugar using hand mixer or paddle attachment of stand mixer.

  • 12 tablespoons salted or unsalted butter

Step 2 Add milk and egg to creamed mixture.

  • 3.5 cups all-purpose flour

Step 3 In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda then add dry ingredients to wet ingredient mixture.

  • 1.5 tablespoons milk

Step 4   Cover with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator overnight.

  • 1 egg

Step 5    Take out portions of dough to roll, leaving the rest in the stay cold. Generously flour work surface and roll thin (thin enough to see the design of your counter through the dough).

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Step 6    Cut shapes and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.


Step 7    Bake at 325 degrees for 6-8 minutes. Monitor to make sure the cookies do not burn.


Step 8    Top with sprinkles immediately when they come out of the oven and cool on a cooling rack. Enjoy!
